To celebrate turning 60 this year, Maureen Smith will be marking this milestone in a somewhat different way… a black tie charity bash at the Sir Christopher Wren… that’s the way to do it!

I am hoping you may be able to help me, I have been helping to organise a charity ball in Windsor over the bank holiday weekend on behalf of my Aunt, Maureen Smith who turned 60 in May and has made it her mission to raise between £6k and £60k to mark the occasion! We are hoping you will be able to promote the event more for us, we are set to have 70 people so far but would really like to get to 100 tickets sold, it has proven a very popular weekend for our family and friends and a lot of the people we were coming to rely on unfortunately are unable to make the date.
The charity ball is sponsoring two local charities to Windsor & Maidenhead – Thames Hospice & Windsor Homeless Project as well as Cancer Research UK. My Aunt is an incredible person and is a retired headteacher from St Bernards Prep in Langley and now looks after her three grandchildren (all under the age of 3!) full time.
Tickets are £60 (£30 covers the cost of a three course meal, welcome drink on arrival and coffee and petit fours) and £30 goes directly to the three charities. We will have a magician from the magic circle, DJ and acoustic guitarist who have all given their time for free as well as some fantastic prizes. All our decorations and flowers have also been given for free. Even our vases we have received free of hire! Are you able to please help me by promoting these on the various sites you look after? We would love this event to be an absolute sell out and for the Windsor community to really pull together as we do so well to support these local charities. We have so much help from local businesses and would be great for residents in Windsor to come along and enjoy the evening,
