The main aim of producing the Love Windsor Community Newsletter is to get community news out to all the residents’ homes in Windsor so that they know what is going on and to sow the seeds of ideas in their minds as to how they might do their bit for the community.
With the 3rd Edition of the Love Windsor Community Newsletter now published & on the stand in Tesco Dedworth, we are looking to the 4th Edition, our Christmas Edition, and we are hoping to get this out to the whole of Windsor with a little help from local advertisers 😉
The first 3 editions had 3 x A4 community news pages plus 1 x A4 advertising page to pay for the FREE community content.
The first 2 editions were mainly distributed via Tesco Dedworth. The 3rd Edition was hand delivered to 2,500 homes with 2,500 distributed via the stand in Tesco. We’d like the 4th Edition to be hand delivered to all of West Windsor & Central Windsor which will require professional distribution and the production of 17,500 copies. Get that right and we will then will look to including Old Windsor, another 3,500 copies, in the New Year. This growth will add significant cost and so we will need to have more advertising space.
The vision for the Christmas edition is 6 pages, 3 community news (FREE), 3 for local advertisers.
With 3 types of advertisement:
- Text listing at £25
- Business card at £150
- Quarter page at £300
By advertising in the Love Windsor Community Newsletter we’ll happily push out a blog post each month for you for FREE on our website and share these posts through social media channels.
- Historically ilovewindsor.co.uk has been a blog website sharing all sorts of stories since 2009.
- We get over 2,000 visitors to 3000+ pages a month to our ilovewindsor.co.uk website, this blog.
- Our Love Windsor Community News Facebook Group has over 2,300 members and the Garden in Bloom post, earlier in the summer, was shared & seen by over 12,000 people across various local Windsor Fb Groups.
- Our Love Windsor Community News Youtube Channel has over 64,000 views. The most popular being “how to drive a mobility scooter”!
Having run my own business for many years, being very actively involved in the community through membership of Rotary and more recently as a local councillor, as covid began to take hold my world changed forever! Within 10 minutes of walking into Tesco Dedworth on 20th March 2020 looking for work I found myself on the checkouts 😉
Talking to customers, over time it has became very apparent that many people, especially the elderly felt disconnected as they found the internet a difficult place to navigate, preferring face to face communications. The idea of a easy to digest, attractive publication that shared what is going on in the community, sponsored by local businesses started to take shape. The feedback has been very positive and so we keep moving forward and our 4th Edition is looking to grow in size and distribution… pick up a copy in Tesco Dedworth if it hasn’t landed through your letterbox.
