DG Fred King @shelterboxuk and Mike Brown @WindsorRotary @visitwindsor collecting for #Nepal congrats Kate xx pic.twitter.com/xP9I3TIy84 — Vote Davey & De Luca (@ParkWardWindsor) May 2, 2015 Yesterday I did a 2 hour shift with other Rotarians, collecting money for the people of Nepal. There are reports of fears of the money not getting through because the government can’t be trusted… this is where the Rotary network kicks in… we’ll be giving any donations directly to fellow Rotarians in Nepal so we know it is maximised and not fleeced by greedy governments or questionable agencies. As usual, only 2% of people … Continue reading Rotarians helping the people of Nepal

Sunday 26th April 2015 Wisdom was approached by a local resident while out walking his dogs on Sutherland Grange, “How come you’ve got the Tories delivering your leaflets Wisdom?” he asked jovially! “What do you mean Terry?” “Take a look at this…” he said while handing Wisdom the leaflet below… Councillor Geoffrey Hill pushed out a picture of Councillor Derek Wilson and “Mr Mayor” (my own pet name for Councillor Asghar Majeed, a fellow Yorkshireman) out delivering these flyers in Clewer North today. I’d been hearing negative vibes about Windsor Leisure Centre which was taken over by Parkwood Leisure Limited back end of last year. Figured I should dig a little deeper, see what ammo it would give me for the campaign trail… So last night I posted on a couple of Facebook Groups and Streetlife, asking “I’m looking to talk to folk who have been impacted by the changes at Windsor leisure centre… how have they impacted you?” From the street I’d heard all the senior management had left, they had culled the £120 annual early swimming pass for pensioners, the canteen … Continue reading Windsor Leisure Centre is blossoming!
Oh what a night! To a packed house at All Saints Church Windsor, hosted by Reverend “DD” Louise took charge of the runners in this year’s Parliamentary Elections 2015. Being a horsey lady she had no problem with a packed stable… hundreds turned out to hear what the candidates had to say! The BBC really needs to pop along next time and consider her for David Dimbleby’s job… BRILLIANT work… as the lead photo shows, even Adam Afriyie, the sitting MP, knew who the boss was 😉 Each candidate was given 7 minutes to say their piece, to get over … Continue reading Windsor General Elelction Hustings All Saints Church, Dedworth
It’s been said, or so I’m told, I prefer not to listen to idle gossip but seriously, as I walk the streets of Windsor with my campaign leaflet, many have said thank you for standing, we need a real choice of candidates! Times they are a changing on Sheet Street… I bumped into Mr Mark Handley a couple of days ago walking in the Park and then today, to reinforce the obvious need for change, I was approached by a man with a laser gun! He explained how he’d produced hundreds of 3D items and like Woody in Toy Story, … Continue reading There are not enough Jon Davey’s in the World
I have removed this post as my wife asked me to… She didn’t feel it was me at my best and feels the anger and frustration I feel at the way the local council conduct themselves should be focused on more positive efforts within the community rather than pointing my finger. It’s Valentines, she right, she usually is, so gone is that negativity… Hopefully the people will wake up and not automatically vote them back in, see them for what they are and choose an alternative brand in the upcoming elections. Thank you. Jon Continue reading Tory Councillor Simon Dudley BLOCKS Independent Windsor Candidate on Twitter
