Dear Sir or Madam,
We are writing to ask for your support for Rock the Rec, our 2-day community festival, on 1st and 2nd July at Clewer Memorial Recreation Ground. Local music and high-quality tribute acts will be expertly compéred by Kevin Cruise. There will also be fairground rides for the children, market stalls, food and a beer tent.
Our team of volunteers organize fundraising events like this to put money back into our community. This year we have taken on projects such as improving security for elderly people and giving access to computers for the digitally disadvantaged.
Costs have increased and we have been forced to raise our ticket prices, although we are still very competitively priced at £10 per adult and £5 per child. It is really important to us that local families in the more deprived areas of Clewer and Dedworth can attend, so we’re asking local businesses:
Could you sponsor some tickets and give a deprived family a day out to remember?
£200 could enable 6 families to experience live music and family fun. Plus, as a thank you, we’ll display your vinyl banner on the Harris fencing within the festival site.
Perhaps you’d also like to purchase some extra adult tickets to offer to your staff as an incentive?
This festival is at the heart of our community and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
Overnight closures will usually start from 9pm and are removed by 6am the next morning.
