Festival season is coming to Windsor – with a special community event.

The fun-filled festival come as Care UK celebrates Care Home Open Week, a national initiative that encourages care homes to open their doors and showcase what life in a care home is really like.

On 1st July 2023 from 2pm-5pm, Care UK’s Mountbatten Grange, in Windsor, is set to hit the right note as it opens its doors to local people for a Hawaiian Festival.

Visitors will be treated to Hawaiian themed cocktails specially prepared by the home’s talented head chef. There will also live entertainment from local performer, Terry Gleed, and a summer barbecue for everyone to enjoy.

Debbie Winwood, Home Manager at Mountbatten Grange, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming the local community to join our Hawaiian-inspired celebrations here at Mountbatten Grange.

“Care Home Open Week offers the perfect opportunity to get together with loved ones and enjoy a celebration of live music. Many residents at Mountbatten Grange have fond memories of watching live music and attending music festivals in their younger years, and this event will encourage them to look back and relive these happy times.”

“We have many music lovers here at Mountbatten Grange, and we’re really excited to ring in summer in style with our first ever festival. We can’t wait to strike a chord with residents and the wider community!”
