OPTALIS Community Lives Services

OPTALIS Community Lives ethos is to develop opportunities for people with a learning disability, living in RBWM, to enhance their lives and be actively involved in their community.

We do this by building on the best of what we currently offer, through our existing day services, and developing a wider involvement in the areas where people live. Not only through accessing venues and trips out, but by becoming an active part of the community.

Our focus is making a positive difference, by contributing and making use of the opportunities most of us take for granted, by finding solutions to inclusion.

The Team works together to ensure that the people we support have the same opportunities and experiences regardless of their individual needs & to be involved in activities and events that matter to them. In turn we strive to open experiences to everyone, enabling us to share what we can all do together and all that is achievable within our community.

Volunteers & Supporters
For this to happen, support from Volunteers from our communities is really important in making a difference.

We are looking for people who are friendly, caring and responsive with a positive attitude and an adaptable approach. If this sounds like you and you can offer some time and support to others who may share a similar interest, this would go a long way to enabling truly inclusive opportunities for someone who may not have the chance to do so otherwise.

Shared hobbies and interests such as sports, music and food, being involved in community events or as a companion to spend some time with, the list really is endless.

Our dedicated and experienced Team will always be with you to support you to develop relationships and assist in planning opportunities. You will need to have an Enhanced DBS check, which we will help with.

Please contact us if you would like to find out more or meet the Team.
