Well that’s “Fair” Enough…
The Ice Rink application was heard tonight at Windsor Planning Panel and was voted through with the conditions listed below:
Ian did an excellent job of presenting the case for Windsor residents but then 2 councillors and the applicant talked in favour of it… that was a tad lopsided but thankfully the professionals made it clear, if the paperwork is not done to British Standards, the Ice Rink will be refused.
The applicant has 30 days to get the paperwork together. Fair enough.
The Chairman will ensure the t’s are crossed and the i’s dotted.
Seemingly 60,000 people visited the fair ground last year with 30,000 going on the ice. Cllrs were impressed by those numbers.
While footfall in the town for the same period last year was around 4,000,000. Not sure Paul Roach got the same reaction when announcing those numbers at the Windsor Forum 😉

It was a shame to see the Liberal Democrats seemingly trying to minimise the planning conditions when they are supposed to be environmentalists but thankfully the officers have set the conditions.
Over to the applicant to meet them.
Thank you.
Jon
