Mary Flavelle’s time to be an Angel

I popped in to see Mary at Radio Marlow, let’s say 10 years ago and took her a caterpillar cake because I knew it would make her smile 😉
She sadly left us yesterday but like all fabulous caterpillars, she’ll have morphed, this time into an angel rather than a butterfly.
Always ready to help others, I met Mary at her Keller Breakfast 20+ years ago. Everyone had their minute to share their greatness and if you went over, she’d ring that damn bell and clear you from the stage, her stage 😉

For my part, it was the early days on the internet, when folk would show a nervous tick if I shared I was tracking emails and knew what links they’d clicked on… the devils work… begorrah xx
Out of that she set up Ladies Who Latte that is now in many countries around the world and she thought nothing of giving it away… she was more interested in seeing others get some wind under their wings, helping them move their dream forward.
Queen of Radio Marlow… what will Geoff and his Motley crew do now? He’ll have to team up with Carla… when the station got started, Paul Mansell asked me to help him find a few presenters and the rest is history… Mary was in her element, shing like the star she was.

At the Great British EXPO, she was the hostess with the mostess, making sure everyone had a great time and maximised their connectivity…
Mary was big on family and at home it would have been Christmas all year long had she had her way… trees in every room!
She’ll be missed but her legacy will live on in the thousands of people she touched along the way…
Thank you Mary for being part of my journey… see you later… xx
Jon

Cheers
Jon
