This evening I was invited to the opening of the newest boozer in town, Queen Charlotte on Church Lane (the cobbles) previously known as The Blarney Stone.
Oak Taverns and Punch jointly invested £500,000 in the refurbishment of the Queen Charlotte and Janice Raycroft, Editor of Berkshire Life put her years of Fleet Street to good use and found the new bar before me 😉
What a transformation! From a £1 a pint Irish bar into a very stylish fine dining establishment with a really comfortable, cosy atmosphere, ready for you and your friends to enjoy this Christmas.
Prices are very reasonable, with a 3 course Christmas menu for just £25… go get that hog roast or even a turkey style vegetarian roast… what’s that all about? Dunno, go have a nibble…
The decor has completely changed with two private dining areas upstairs and a conservatory that can tell a few stories, ask Simon Collinson to tell you a tale or two by the fireside 😉
There’s our Janice again, she’s now got Ray pouring Oak Tavern’s own Guildhall Gin… better get a snap of that Maureen! Hick 😉
Time to post your story before the bar shuts…
Paddy’s ready to peel a few Mandarins for connoisseurs of fine ales…
And we really don’t want to upset the neighbours 😉
Tell your new landlord, John Perry, where you heard about the Queen Charlotte first @QCWindsor 01753 859268
I love Windsor, don’t you?
Thank you.
