The Story of Plastic playing online Friday 5th June 8:30pm

I just wanted to share some news about an event that’s taking place at 8:30pm on Friday, June 5th, UN World Environment Day. Plastic Free Windsor are hosting one of the first digital screenings of the documentary The Story of Plastic.

It is a brand-new film produced by the Break Free from Plastic movement and takes a sweeping look at the man-made crisis of plastic pollution, the worldwide effect it has on the health of the planet and the people who inhabit it, and the action being taken to stop it.

Spanning three continents, the film illustrates the ongoing crisis with interviews from experts and activists at the front line, revealing the disastrous consequences of the flood of plastic smothering ecosystems and poisoning communities around the world.

It also highlights the global movement that is rising up in response and the solutions that are being taken to stop the scourge of plastic pollution. A global movement YOU are part of.

To take part, you just need to register at this link with Surfers Against Sewage (our mother organisation) and you will be sent a link to the film on the day. The link is valid for 48 hours and you can watch the film at any point in that period.

Please do feel free to share this event with family, friends and anyone you think might be interested…

Thank you for your support of Plastic Free Windsor, and our campaign to tackle avoidable single-use plastic.

Stay safe, and we hope you can join us on June 5th.
