Recently we hosted some coffee mornings at Tesco Dedworth for community leaders. At one of those sessions there was mention that schools were in need of books. An email to over 20 schools saw half of them respond positively within a few days, underlining the need for our help.
You may very well have fairly recent school books on your shelves gathering dust. If that is the case and they are not needed for other siblings then please, bring them into Tesco Dedworth and put them in the trolley which will be clearly signed.
Alternatively, if you’d like to participate, then you could buy book tokens on the tills and then hand them into Customer Services who store them securely.
We will run the fundraiser from Burns Night, 25th January to Shakespeare’s birthday, 23rd April 2023.

We will be producing A3 posters for the schools and local cafes once we have finalized the list… who is missing from the list below?

Amazing to hear that schools are still using paper books to teach with.
I am a reader who enjoys all sorts of books but especially dectective type fiction.
Obviously, these would not be suitable for first and middle schools but may be of interest to secondary schools. How do I find out?
