Lunch time flight to Canada. Very civilised, Go2Gate to T5, tube to T2, all very seamless. Couple of movies later we landed. Train to city, tube, then short walk to Chelsea Hotel.

Toronto – grey, grey, grey. They even wear it on TV and as uniforms in fancy steak houses where a T-Bone is £100!

People are friendly and with dope legal, very calm, although even many adults talk at super speed.

Drivers were respectful on the highway, leaving lots of room. Mind you, looking at state of bridges and roads, you need to leave falling masonary space.

Niagara Falls impressive and nicely compact with a handy hillside to view from. Thought it was going to be bigger and more rural but hey, may not be one of the seven wonders but must be in top twenty and bound to draw visitors who then settle.

Bruce, our driver, had plenty of stories to tell. I particularly liked the one about us helping the natives kick some USA butt.

Bought some ICE in the old town Niagara which we drank around 7pm with a salted caramel and vanilla scoop, as advised by local custom… had to buy ice cream from foodhall hence coffee cups 😂 quality… slept till 9am

Spent Easter Sunday walking the town and taking the ferry to the island. Popped in to The Royal York to watch Toronto society enjoy afternoon tea 🥳

Then we dropped a Lindt bunny off for the young lady at Apple Store who fixed Ali’s phone which bricked as we landed!

10k later, back at the hotel, drank the bottle of red we bought from the old town and those grapes had the same effect. Out cold for 3 hrs… then time for dinner… let’s try steak!

Walking back saw guys getting ready for a night sleeping on the streets and one chap taking an angle grinder to the thick bike chain of an electric bike with chunky tyres. The bike couldn’t have been closer to the street, full view of many… gone in 60 seconds!

Easter Monday, six hours to kill in the metropolis… I guess we could go vote!

CN Tower is taller than it looks from certain perspectives and thankfully no queues.

View of CN Tower from our room… looked shorter from this angle!
OK, need a t-shirt… and a taxi to airport for Part II…

No t-shirts that caught my eye at airport but a burger and beer did as not eaten since breakfast!
See you in Vegas 🥳
