Review of June’s event…

Danielle (Abri) shared a list of events they are hosting for the community and she plans on pulling that together in an A4 poster that I can get on the Tesco notice board. Karen & Becky (The Autism Group) spoke of the projects they have been working on to help those with Autism spread their wings, creating safe spaces, fascinating. Cath (Lilliput Learners) will be sad to see more of her little people move on to first schools and is concerned about what the future holds. Helen (RBWM Cllr) talked of her work with the Crown Estate and her first CSR initiative appears to be gathering momentum. Chris (Achieving for Children) has a whole list of projects taking off over the summer to help those in need. Steve (Age Concern Berkshire) has his new Dementia Project which he is pulling together and it was nice to hear him, amongst others, say nice things about our coffee mornings 😉 And Sarah (Windsor Horse Rangers) shared their need for more volunteers, a common theme and why we came up with the idea of Volunteers Month to enable community groups to share what they do in Tesco’s foyer during August.

I pulled Steve and Becky to one side after the event and asked them to say a few words.

Steve about his Dementia Project and how people who are interested can get in touch…

And I asked Becky to say what being part of our Community Champions Coffee Morning had done for The Autism Group.

Book for one or both of our Community Champions’ Coffee Mornings at The Windsor Family Hub

Thank you
