Men’s Matters
Men’s Matters is a Berkshire-based registered charity whose aim is to support older men to enjoy a better quality of life through social interaction.
Men’s Matters is a start-up charity run entirely by volunteers. In 2023 the charity was shortlisted for the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, receiving a certificate from the Lord Lieutenant of Berkshire in recognition of their work and positive impact on the lives of many older men living in the borough.

The Windsor group meets weekly on Mondays at All Saints Church, Dedworth, cafeteria from 2.00-4.00pm except public holidays. Contact Tim Walker 07827642504.
The Maidenhead group meets weekly on Wednesdays at Maidenhead Community Centre, 4 Marlow Road, Maidenhead. Contact Paul Samuels 07923494744.
We also have an annual Christmas lunch and day trips in the warm weather months.

It is FREE to join (subject to informal assessment of suitability – we strive to maintain a harmonious and interactive group environment) and our activities remain free to members as long as we continue to successfully fundraise to cover our budget.
Occasionally older men are referred to Men’s Matters by GP surgeries or NHS social prescribers with health conditions that include early onset dementia, depression or anxiety.
Being in a social, peer group environment has been shown to be beneficial to mental health and to promote a general feeling of contentment and wellbeing.

Windsor Community Champions synergy in action! On Monday 29th January the Green Room School team led by Daniel visited the Men’s Matters Windsor group at All Saints Church in Dedworth. They served teas, coffee, biscuits and cake from their converted horse box mobile cafe! All were grateful for the chat, drinks, cheer and mild weather.
