Age Concern Windsor
Age Concern Windsor provides support and companionship for local older people and their Carers. Our services include a Day Service, social lunches including a Sunday Lunch, bingo and quiz afternoons, informational events, Meals on wheels (Windsor, Old Windsor and most parts of Datchet) and Befriending. We are dementia friendly and cater to people who have extra care needs as well as the independent. We have a newsletter detailing what is available for older people in and around Windsor, our services and other information that is useful, such as the household support fund, Community events or groups that can help you. We hope to make life a more enjoyable experience for local older people. If you’re looking for support, to know what’s going on, to pass on something that could help an older person or just want to chat, then please get in touch we’d love to hear from you.
What one of our volunteers looks like…
Volunteering with us is great fun with a choice of tasks and flexible times. You could help in our Centre, serving lunch and refreshments, help support our clients in craft activities and games, deliver meals to local older adults or have a weekly chat on the phone. If you’re not that social then we have admin, gardening, and social media and public relations tasks. The aim is to find something that you like/ enjoy doing that fits your lifestyle and time constraints. If you’d like to help then please get in touch and we can talk about what you’d like to do.
We love having groups from employers so if you have a group who’d like a one off event such as painting, gardening or running an event the please get in touch as well.
