Latest Wolf Lane Planning Application 24-02189

Today I learned of the latest planning application for the top of Wolf Lane.

Planning Application – search 24/02189

There are a number of protections on the land and they are best described in the objection by the Windsor Neighbourhood Plan.

If you want to comment then you need to do so by next Friday 1st November.

As with many of these types of applications, they create fear amongst the local community and the purpose of this blog post is to try and reassure residents that in my opinion, for what it’s worth, there is little or no chance of the application being given permission.

Local Councillors should really be looking to reassure residents to minimise the stress for the local community as there are those who like to feed off and reinforce the fear. I have written to both local Cllrs today suggesting that they might want to call this application into the Planning Committee.

I wrote the following when I was a councillor…

Decision just in… REFUSED…

  1. Well done Jon. A very good post. A pity our two local councillors haven’t commented.
For those who have forgotten they are Mr & Mrs DaCosta.

  2. There is a new planning application that has gone in the hill on Gilman Crescent and Bryer Place 24/0264/FULL Planning Application. This proposal is flawed for some many reasons – a few are listed here: Firstly, this is designated public highway. Secondly this would impact an ancient oak tree and bluebells. Thirdly everyone who uses the bridle path would lose the view. It has the potential to impact the main pipe from the St Leonard’s Hill reservoir, which burst and flooded homes in 2005. It would be a loss of an open space amenity. And of course due to its bulk, it is totally out of character with the area. And of course it would impact our light in our kitchen window.
