t-junction in windsor

Is it just me or are you similarly bored of cars parking opposite t-junctions in Windsor?

Drive around Dedworth and they are everywhere and nothing is done!

I asked ChatGPT to do a sketch for me “create a picture of illegal parking opposite a t-junction in windsor uk” so I couldn’t be accused of picking on anyone in particular. It’s not quite right but it got your attention 😉

It’s part of the highway code (rule 243) that you can’t park within 10m of a junction and so I’d suggested that should someone’s car get smashed then their insurance company would have the perfect excuse not to pay out since they are breaking the law.

Traffic wardens would have the ability to ticket offenders if there were double yellow lines on the road. This would make it more obvious to those who need to be told, told and told again!

It would also drive revenue for the Borough…

So the question is…

Do I put energy into a campaign to get double yellow lines on t-junctions?

  1. I wish someone would, it annoys me all the illegal parking
  2. Get a life, go find another campaign you loser
  3. Not bothered either way
  4. Can’t afford insurance, never mind a car!

If 51% of the home owners within 150 yards of a junction are in favour of double yellow lines then they have a much better chance of happening.

Thank you.

  1. It’s not just opposite a T junction, but also parking too close to the junction in the entrance of side roads, which are often quite narrow. Makes it difficult to turn into these roads, especially if there is a vehicle wanting to exit the side road. Then you get idiots parking over the disabled crossings that are close to the road opening. I tried reporting one idiot who caused me to walk in the road cos I couldn’t mount the pavement with my walker. But they didn’t get a ticket as they should have done.
