Silver Service Requires the Perfect Butler
Sid won the Best Dog in Our House Award, a super Snoodle, who knows how to get us to serve him well 😉
The original plan for our Silver Wedding Anniversary lunch was to walk in to town with Sid and choose a restaurant but with the clouds forming and options limited by his schnoodleness, Ali, having celebrated the evening before with a fish, chips, the mushiest of peas, a drop of Veuve and some mini cupcakes by way of a chaser, suggest she’d drive in…
This way we could pick a special restaurant, Sid could stay home and we could have some US time… good plan. We popped into the Ivy and booked a table for 45 mins time and headed for a stroll down memory lane.
To the Guildhall where we had our ceremony, one of the first lucky couples to make use of such a historic venue for a wedding. We bumped into an old friend who took our Guildhall anniversary photo.
On to The Two Brewers which acted as our watering hole pre wedding breakfast at The Castle Hotel. Photo call, sun in the eyes is always irritating but quick, before more tourists turn up 😉
Time to head back to The Ivy. The original table wasn’t the best and Ali could sense I’m not feeling it and was ready to walk… but then, as if it was meant to be, the table in the corner freed up, could we, can we, let us just prepare that for you M’lady…
