Geoff Try Knew How to Light Up a Room
You know how… drum role… his wife Fiona taught him 😉
I learned of his passing on reading the Windsor Local History Group’s post on Facebook and reached out to his son Andrew to offer my condolences and ask if he’d send over some pics so I could do this piece for the website.
He was always smiling when I saw him. Very supportive of my initiatives, always interested to hear what this week’s project was! A charming man and summed up by a fellow Rotarian

As a member of Windsor Local History Group, we were all so very fond of Geoff. He was a real gentleman, so very kind and always such good company, a great character. His wealth of knowledge was amazing and he added to the history of the town in so many ways. Such a great loss to his family and also the wider Windsor community. May you rest in peace dear Geoff.

Geoff will be greatly missed locally. He was a wonderfully positive , helpful and enthusiastic person . With his family he supported so many local organisations and initiatives including The Windsor Festival and The Windsor and Eton Choral Society where every Christmas he brought the whole Try Family to the Family Carols Service. He was always so positive and full of ideas in support of Windsor life. He was a Windsor institution, will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with Fiona and all the Try family.
