Windsor Day – A Breath of Fresh Air
Just been checking the weather for Windsor Day, next Friday
And there maybe a little rain… the rain bringing the fresh air is what tends to happen
Seems to me, most of us struggle to cope in the heat, or the real cold, we like it just so, shall we say 16 to 24 degrees is a comfortable world
This year we have no major events happening for Windsor Day
It was an idea that formed earlier in the year and I was hoping that others would step up and share the load but understandably, everyone has their own projects and priorities

ABRI are hosting some building tours
Paul is hosting a book reading at Windsor Library
Thames Valley Police are happy to join in, I suggested keeping it simple this year and perhaps doing some fun videos
I’m going to host a private event with a few of those who won through to be included in our Windsor Day Photo Competition 😉 Over 60 photos submitted, the public spoke, those on facebook at any rate, chose half our winners and I selected a few that represented Windsor to give the winners poster a balanced Windsor Day vibe…
What we’ll be pushing for next year, when Windsor Day falls on a Saturday, is for people to get out in the parks around Windsor and picnic with their friends and neighbours while playing some fun games.
Research coming out of Well Windsor is indicating that our young people are struggling with their mental health and I believe many older people are too… and becoming a stronger community, where we look after each other better, comes from knowing each other better…
Everyone lives such busy lives, many simply focused on keeping the wolf away from the door!
What better way to get to know each other better than simply popping out to your local park and talking to your friends and neighbours while sharing a mug of mead and some home made sourdough bread 😉
Why wait till next year… get out in your park this summer…
And next Friday, say “Happy Windsor Day” to those you meet, where ever in the world you happen to be 😉
