This Council agrees to reduce the number of signatures required for a petition to be debated at Full Council from 1500 to 1000 in the interests of democracy by allowing residents to more easily get direct access to their elected representatives on issues of importance to them.

Where there is a clear doubt on the wisdom of MPs on any issue that effects the population eg. The misunderstanding of the countries feelings on Brexit. Then a referendum would be ideal as it would clarify any differences of opinions. After all the electorate had the good sense to employ those selected to serve us.
