Infrastructure Opposition Monthly Officer Meeting this Monday

I thought I’d reach out to Windsor & Maidenhead residents to see if you had any questions about Infrastructure in RBWM?

Yesterday there was a post about new Electric Vehicle charging points in Albert Street, Windsor which I’ll be asking about. A tad surprised I’d not had a note about this but that made me think…

Are there other infrastructure projects happening around RBWM that I should be asking about?

If anything comes to mind over the weekend please let me know…

Infrastructure as defined by Wikipedia. Infrastructure is the set of fundamental facilities and systems that support the sustainable functionality of households and firms. Serving a country, city, or other area, including the services and facilities necessary for its economy to function. Infrastructure is composed of public and private physical structures such as roads, railways, bridges, tunnels, water supply, sewers, electrical grids, and telecommunications (including Internet connectivity and broadband access). In general, infrastructure has been defined as “the physical components of interrelated systems providing commodities and services essential to enable, sustain, or enhance societal living conditions” and maintain the surrounding environment.

Thank you.

  1. Hi Jon, Thank you . yes the edge of roads in RBWM is quite appalling in some places, forcing cyclists – including schoolchildren – into the middle of the road to avoid falling into the gutter. This is both a safety issue – which is very important – and now a traffic issue as the new Highway Code gives cyclists priority over vehicles – entitling them to wander into the centre of the road with little notice. Sadly the Roads department seems to not notice the hazards of the road edges too often, so perhaps now would be a good time to raise this issue – for safety and traffic benefits.
