I am posting this notice as a local Councillor to advise anyone thinking of bidding for this land at auction on Thursday 26th May that the reason the guide price is £20,000 is that it has no value as building land.
The auctioneers listed it again and this time the land sold today 27th July 2022 for £38,000!
The land is Adopted Highway and so is run and maintained by the council. Find out more here…
It has many legal protections on it which would make it impossible to get planning permission on the land.
ALL the trees have TPOs, so chop a tree down and risk a heavy fine.

With a number of plots being sold at auction the local residents are in the process of setting up a local Community Land Trust through which plots will be purchased for the long term benefit of the community.
As the land was being sold at auction, a Tiger Moth was spotted in a garden neighbouring Hemwood Dell, one of the three woodlands mentioned in the report. This has been notified to officers to record.
