I’ve just had an email in about gas works being carried out on the junction of Smiths Lane and Maidenhead Road, near Sawyer’s Close.

Please make note and let your neighbours know as this could inconvenience many of us for nearly 2 weeks.

Here are the details of a forthcoming road closure to take place in Windsor. Access will be provided for emergency vehicles.

This should give you the opportunity to plan ahead, to make suitable arrangements and to share the information with all your appropriate stakeholders.

Date & time: From 00:01 hours on Monday 27th June until 23.59 hours on Friday 8th July 2022

Location: That part of Smiths Lane from its junction with A308 Maidenhead Road southward for a distance of 10 metres.

Alternative Route: Via Smiths Lane, Longmead, Gallys Road and A308 Maidenhead Road

Reasons: To facilitate gas mains replacement works
