Residents can find out more about job opportunities available at Heathrow Airport at two drop-in sessions at Windsor and Maidenhead libraries.
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is working with the Heathrow Employment and Skills Academy to deliver the sessions, which will be held at Windsor Library on Thursday 15 September, and at Maidenhead Library on Thursday 22September, both from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
Staff from Heathrow Academy will be available to explain the variety of roles on offer to local jobseekers as well as current vacancies, shift patterns, rates of pay and the specific requirements needed in order to be able to work at Heathrow.
They will be able to discuss travel options from the borough to Heathrow, security clearance procedures, and the support available to jobseekers interested in working at Heathrow via the Academy, which connects the airport, business partners and local employers to support delivery of new jobs and apprenticeships.
Currently there are more than 80 different types of role available, and a wealth of job opportunities with various different companies located at Heathrow. With the opening of the Elizabeth Line this year and existing travel options, competitive rates of pay and the breadth of roles available at the airport, working there has many potential benefits.
Residents who wish to attend should just turn up on the day.
