We had a good turn out today for our Tesco Community Champion Coffee Morning with nine of us spending a couple of hours, sharing what we do, what’s happening in each of our worlds and projects we could do with a hand with.
There is so much each person does that makes them a Community Champion, whatever the job title they have been issued with. All adding value to the Windsor community in their unique ways and it always makes me smile when I hear of joint projects that are materialising as a direct result of the coffee mornings.
From left to right: Lynn (Social Prescriber), Laura (RBWM Libraries), Layla (Thames Hospice), Clive (RBWM Warden), Daniel (GRC), Danielle (Abri) Sarah (Windsor Horse Rangers), Roger (Windsor Lions)
You really need to get yourself along to the next one, if you are a Community Champion or thinking of becoming one.
Windsor Lions have their Swimathon Fundraiser happening in October and so I asked Roger to tell us more…
Daniel from The Green Room College has really taken the bull by the horns and joined up with a number of the other Community Champions to bring forth future projects that will help the community in so many ways.
He’s also come up with his own gaming initiative, “Game Masters of Windsor” hosted on a Tuesday night at The Swan… are you into gaming or were you once? Listen up…
Thank you.
