The Mayor, Cllr Neil Knowles and the Mayoress Theresa Knowles were greeted in the foyer by Linda Burn, Chair of Windsor & Eton Sea Cadets and introduced to a group of cadets.
Tracey Fallis, representing Tesco then welcomed the Mayor & Mayoress into the store where the Help 4 Heroes volunteers were set up.
As I was preparing for the photo of all present a lady kindly donated £20 and mentioned her family connections to the armed forces.
On the front page of the Help 4 Heroes website it says the following which will resonate with many of us.
“When a conflict ends, for some the battles don’t stop. We support veterans and their families by giving life-changing support, no matter when or where they served. We’re at their side. For as long as it takes.“
