Raising a family can be rewarding and enjoyable but we know there are times when extra support is needed. In May 2021, the new Family Hub Service replaced the previously known Youth Service, Children’s Centres and Family Resilience Teams with the aim of providing a whole family approach to supporting our children, young people and families. This services sits in Children’s Services in Early Help but also supports Social Care.
The Family Hub Service provides a targeted support offer to families who are facing a variety of challenges. The programmes and interventions are delivered in both 1-1 and group format.
Within the Family Hub Service there are: family coaches, Family Hub workers, youth workers, parenting workers, substance misuse workers, a knife crime prevention worker and a youth engagement officer.
The Family Hub Service aims to create collaborative working with a family/young person in order to achieve positive outcomes to reduce the challenges that they currently face.
