HAPPY CHRISTMAS from Tesco Dedworth, Windsor

What a month, we’ve had the most amazing December with thousands of pounds raised by local community groups, schools & charities with a different organisation booked in every day during December, up to Christmas…

On a recent visit to the Dedworth store, Ken Murphy, CEO of Tesco, shared how very impressed he was with the Christmas drawings by local children.

A couple of schools produced Christmas pictures for our windows in 2022. This year 6 schools joined in Alexander First, Braywood First, Dedworth Middle, Hilltop First, Homer First, Lilliput Learners plus independent contributions from local children meant our windows were full with over 300 fantastic Christmas artworks. Local children were invited to pick their favourites during the last week of trading, 500 votes were cast, 11 WINNERS announced on the Saturday before Christmas 😉

In regard to Customer Reviews, we were well behind the curve last year and have evolved a methodology to keep us over target during the last year. If anyone reading this would like to support our store as we “compete” against other stores in the area, then simply spend 5 minutes completing the www.tescoviews.com referencing store 3404 and say positive things about your favourite colleague, scoring them highly. Thank you.

We have built strong connections during 2023 through our regular Community Champion Coffee Mornings.

We started hosting coffee mornings in January 2023 and those working with community groups have really appreciated coming together to share stories, what’s going on in their world and problems they’d like to find solutions to.

This has resulted in a number of joint projects, adding huge value to the Windsor community.

For 2024 we have a new venue in the grounds of Windsor Castle to add a fresh dynamic to the positive energy already created around our existing locations.

We’re kicking off 2024 by collecting Unwanted Christmas Gifts for the local Green Room College that works with those that struggle with traditional education. The money raised will seed fund their own projects…

This will be followed in February with our “Books for Schools” project that generated thousands of books last year.

Happy Christmas and let’s talk next year about how we can help you with your project.

Thank you.
