Firstly, I’d like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Soroptimists International of Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead, for making a donation of 90 books to celebrate their 90th year. The name Soroptimist was coined from the Latin soror meaning sister, and optima meaning best. And so Soroptimist is perhaps best interpreted as ‘the best for women’.
Queen Anne, Alexander, Cranbourne, St Peter’s and Royal Free popped in Friday morning to collect up to 100 books each, saving them hundreds of pounds… St Edward’s and two from futher afield popped in Saturday morning. Western House Academy Slough and Larchfield Maidenhead. Clewer Green, Oakfield, Braywood and Windsor Boys have all been in.
Roy, one of our Tesco Volunteers has a keen interest in books and so he is evaluating how to best use his skills to help the schools… thank you Roy.

For us to be as efficient as possible we are inviting schools to complete the form below to indicate when they would like to come in to collect a number of books for their school from Tesco Dedworth.
The quantity we will be able to share will be governed by the number of schools who complete the form.
If you can’t make the dates shared but would like to receive some books then simply indicate below and we’ll allow for that.
