Submissions are OPEN for a Collaborative Art Exhibition for Mental Health Awareness Week
13th – 19th May 2024 at Maidenhead Library
ARE WE ALL CONNECTED OR WORLDS APART?
For the first time The Happy Bunny Project is organising a collaborative art exhibition open to all members of the public. We might not always be Happy Bunnies but participation in arts can uplift the spirits.
We invite community groups, children’s activities groups and individual artists to practice their creative skills, step outside their comfort zone or simply give it a go. You can organise a workshop using the guide attached in PDF or do your own individual artwork following the artwork criteria.
You can enter 1 or all 3 categories:
o The eye – Thoughts and feelings can preoccupy the mind, it can’t always be seen but it can be felt – the wall of eyes will symbolise what we can’t see but can feel
o Hand self-portraits – creative representation of things you like, hobbies, interests, colours and patterns that illustrate life’s journey.
o Butterfly – a mix of handmade butterflies will tell a story of gratitude
We are looking to bring together various community groups and creative individuals to transform Maidenhead library into a visual expression of what mental health might look like with a wall of eyes, hand self portrait wall and butterfly gratitude installation.
Deadline is 5th May 2024
Please hand in the artwork at:
Craft Coop Windsor – 15 Windsor Yards, SL4 1TF
Craft Coop Maidenhead – 79 Nicholsons Lane, SL6 1LB
If you would like to volunteer to help set-up the exhibition, please email happybunnyproject@hotmail.com
