Hi, I know, I know, Christmas is like so over the horizon it’s untrue but Danielle Wellburn (nee Lane) is leading the way again on this year’s “Give a Gift for Christmas”.
This is where we gather up gifts perfect for 0-18 year olds and pass them to those really in need. Those who are unlikely to get a single gift if Danielle didn’t organise this.
Recipients have to be recommended through the right channels, ensuring they really do get to the right children and young people.
Thing is, in order to ensure parents know what they have for their kids and because of the holiday nature for many involved, we are arranging distribution on the 13th December.
Obviously most of us don’t really get in the Christmas mode until around that date, with many leaving it to the 24th Dec 😉
To get folk thinking about this then we need to introduce now as shortly our focus will move to Remembrance Day and the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
RBL will be the focus from end of October to Monday 11th November.
Then for 1 month we can start gathering in earnest…
