St John Ambulance Caring for Those That Require Help
With our history dating back to the 11th Century, The Order of St John in various forms, has been caring for those that require help and support for over a thousand years.
St John Ambulance has provided first aid in the Windsor and Maidenhead community for 100 years.
Our St John Ambulance Cadets were established in 1922, with Maidenhead Cadets among the first units to be setup in 1925, allowing young people aged between 11-18 years of age the opportunity to learn first aid and make a difference.
Our youth movement is one of the larger uniformed youth organisations in the United Kingdom with our Badgers and Cadets covering the 5-18 years age group. Providing opportunities for young people to not only learn life-saving skills such as first aid, but also many other life skills such as adventure skills, casualty simulation and camping to name but a few. Cadets are also encouraged to attend events to provide first aid cover alongside our adult volunteers.
As one of the leading first aid providers and first aid training organisations in the country, St John Ambulance is dedicated to encourage and educate anyone who is willing to learn first aid. First aid skills can, simply put, save lives in our community!
Our dedicated adult volunteers cover a range of events from football stadium, half and full marathons to smaller community-based events at local churches and choral societies. We are always there with a first aid kit in hand and a reassuring smile, just in the event of something unfortunate happening.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with our youth sections and adult volunteers.
