Viva Las Vegas
Landed in Las Vegas 10pm, short taxi ride to Luxor hotel, checked-in, quick wander and to bed.

Woke up early, hunted down breakfast, Johnny Rockets for a sausage, egg, biscuit and a milkshake… well, when in Rome 🥳

20,000 steps walking the strip, with something shiny round every corner, and something sad around the next.

No sooner had we got back, yay, and Ali added 2,000 more steps NOOOO, as we went in search of our pick up point for our 6:30 start… bed at 9, we woke just after 4 organically and the day began…

Granola bars… help yourself says Jesse James our guide… some folk took 3!

Out to the desert to see what we could find…

First stop Hoover Dam… got a great photo on way back but not a fan of being on the bridge looking DOWN… it gets emotional!

Eagle Point, Ali took the Sky Walk, I preferred the view from the restaurant!

No barriers at Guano Point! I asked Jesse how many had fallen by getting too close to the edge… ZERO is the answer!

Sat there for over an hour just in awe of the Canyon.

Bought a few wrist beads made by the Hualapai Native Americans to remember the day and help the locals.

Need to eat healthier. Ended the day with a nice salad and a couple of shots as warm up to Ali’s b’day celebrations the next day.

Leisurely start to the day… yoghurt smoothie for b’fast, stroll around to buy a few t-shirts as running low on clothes.

We’d pre-booked a show at Planet Hollywood so headed for Bellagio for lunch. The perfect setting for a memorable birthday…

Back to the hotel to change for show. Not show above but the billboard #madeussmile.

We had to collect tickets inside a precinct at a different theatre. Which turned out to be THE theatre 😂 Tad smaller than Caesars Palace but it was a fun show about Vegas’ history.

Headed for Bellagio for a gambling moment and saw a ZOOX, the driverless vehicle they are starting to roll out.

We did our 40 dollars in as many seconds but hey, we gambled in Vegas 🥳

We opted for a slow day on Friday. Lie in, headed out for breakfast around 12pm as flights not till 11:36pm.

Bellagio called us back. Very calm atmosphere compared to others. Had a stroll poolside before ice-cream at The Flamingo.

Only 16km today! A few souvenirs purchased and back for more salad at the Luxor before Ali won the taxi fare with one last flutter in her lucky top 🥳🥳

Twas fun… on to New York…
Thank you.
Jon & Ali
