Bringing Communities together Through Networking
My Royal Borough (and yours 😉 ) hosted a networking event at Caldesi this morning in Bray.
I thought it would be interesting to talk to some local people in my capacity as Deputy Clerk at Bray Parish Council but I got the feeling most were the regular crew who attend the variety of networking events the team put on. The owner shared a story about how her husband bought the restaurant off the previous owner, on the spur of the moment, while doing some consulting for them. They loved the location and it was an opportunity to move their family out of London. All the food is made from scratch and the bread they brought out for us to sample was well yummy 😉
Interestingly Carlos has lost 4 stone recently and so we talked about intermittent fasting and ketosis. I’m on that journey and 24lb lighter than I was in February with a bunch of days off enjoying a burger or two. It’s working for me and when I asked ChatGPT about the benefits of fasting it explained how this can lower insulin and burn body fat. Hurrah, lots of wins…
I spoke to a few people and made some new connections but then it was back to the day job, helping make Bray Parish a lovely place to live for all residents, young and old.
Jubilee Field in Bray currently has a Spitfire flying through a field of poppies, it looks fantastic as a salute to VE Day… lest we forget…
Must mention the refurbished tennis court…
