Men’s Matters have organised a coach trip to Parliament on 21st July for 30 older men from Windsor and Maidenhead. The group will go on a guided tour and have lunch in the Jubilee Cafe within the Houses of Parliament.

This excursion, paid for by grant giving organisations that include the National Lottery Community Fund and the Shanley Foundation, was organised with the assistance of Windsor MP Jack Rankin’s office. The group hope to meet their two MPs for Windsor and Maidenhead (Joshua Reynolds).

Men’s Matters, now in its 10th year, has arranged over 50 day trips or workshops for older (mostly retired) men from Windsor and Maidenhead that have been free to their members owing to the generosity of grant-giving organisations.

Places visited on excursions have included: St George’s Chapel tour, Windsor Castle; Museum of English Rural Life (Reading); RAF Museum (Hendon); Battle of Britain Bunker (Uxbridge); Watercress Steam Train line (Alton); Chinnor and Princes Risborough steam train line; Bletchley Park; Brooklands Motor and Aviation Museum; Saville Gardens and the Birds of Prey Experience (Bracknell).
