Dr Katie Simpson was a Supporter of the Hope in Depression Course
We are taking part in the Grand Opening of the Dr Katie Simpson Wellness Hub because Dr Simpson was both a supporter and volunteer on the Hope In Depression course as well as an advocate for what we do. It seemed more than fitting to take part in this event, both to promote the course and honour her memory.

What we do
At Finding Hope in Depression, we understand how isolating depression and anxiety can feel — because our courses are created and run by people with lived experience as both sufferers and supporters who have found a way forward.
We offer friendly, supportive courses — online and in person — designed to bring hope, understanding, and practical tools to help people play an active part in their own recovery. Each session combines expert insight with encouragement and real-life strategies that make a difference day to day.
Our six-session course covers a wide range of topics, including stories of recovery, therapy options, understanding brain chemistry, the role of medication, neuroplasticity and the brain’s ability to change, food and mood, mindfulness, and fitness for mental wellbeing. We also provide plenty of resources and signposting to further support.
We know depression and anxiety affect not just individuals but also their families and friends. That’s why our courses also offer insight and a safe space for supporters to learn, connect, and share.
Together, we move from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to discovering practical ways to manage mental health — and to find hope again.
