We’ve been working with Baby Bank, Achieving for Children, Abri and other local organisation for the last few years to optimise the giving of gifts to children who would otherwise get very little. Only thing is, we need the gifts by Thursday 11th December to ensure it all joins up!
It was Danielle from Abri who first suggested collaboration after receiving reports that while some children in need were getting nothing, others might be getting items from multiple sources. Balancing the distribution made sense.
Tesco were working with Baby Bank, our customers’ generous giving being shared with an organisation we knew were already engaging with families in need.
Achieving for Children brought a new dimension to the administration, an organisation dealing with hundreds of families in need could help us systemise the giving.
Other groups, including Windsor Family Hub, recognising the professional approach this offered to ensuring each and every child in need locally could have access to a few gifts ensures the community can do its best to bring a smile to the faces of those we love 😉
- Please give generously and we’ll make sure your gifts go to a good home.
- Younger kids like toys, older kids like smellies and new tracksuits for those older teens go down well.
- You obviously don’t need to buy the items in store.
- This is about helping the community at Christmas.
