Please give generously to Rotarians in Windsor on Saturday as they are collecting for the Ukrainian migrants crossing the border to EU countries, with a focus on the border of Ukraine & Romania.
Filippo Grandi, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees estimates the number of refugees to be over 368,000 fleeing Ukraine to the west into Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova.
Giving to Windsor Rotary Clubs means that the money will go directly to the Rotary Club of Suceava Cetate as they are located in one of the hotspots of the Ukrainian migration crisis not far from Radauti (one of the two Romanian Asylum Centres at the northern border).
We had a presentation to the club about the crisis on Monday and we immediately sprang into action, contacting Paul Roach, Windsor’s Town Centre Manager, RBWM licensing team and Windsor Yards who support us regularly. They are all doing what they can to help.
