The broken windows theory states that visible signs of crime, anti-social behavior and civil disorder create an urban environment that encourages further crime and disorder, including serious crimes.
King Charle’s is keen to celebrate volunteering in the community as part of his coronation year and the Rotary Club of Windsor & Eton Youth Committee thought what better way to encourage volunteering than asking local young people for their thoughts and ideas for improving their world.
Windsor & Eton Rotary Club are calling on the Youth of Windsor & Eton to come up with simple ideas for improving their local environment that don’t require lots of money being spent and would ideally inspire positive actions by their peers.
No need to over think your idea at this stage, a few sentences will do. Let your inner voice speak, write it down and we will help you flesh it out if it has legs.
We have a £1,000 seed funding pot to help get many of the ideas put forward off the ground.
Please complete the form below with your suggestions and we will discuss them with our committee and relevant third parties to establish the practicalities of your idea. Those we feel we can take forward we will. If we don’t think an idea has legs, we will explain why we came to our decision so there is clarity to inspire our young people to not give up and try again.
Thank you.
