When Becky Met Becky
Today we had our regular Thursday Community Champions Coffee Morning at The Swan in Clewer.
Great venue for a meet up as the atmosphere is very relaxed, hot & cold drinks are readily available and Thursday PM see’s The Swan host EPIC Thursday, where students from The Green Room College take over the pub and manage the food & drink orders to help with their education.
We get anywhere between 3 and 20 to our Community Champion Coffee Mornings and today, six had booked but just the three of us were in the room.
Can be annoying when folk say they are going to turn up and don’t but the reality is, a smaller group enables those in the room to make stronger connections through storytelling.

Becky from The Autism Group had not met Rebecca from Baby Bank before and the meeting was a great success as they both are focused on supporting young people and knowing how well Becky has used the Coffee Mornings to build her network and service offering, I’m sure by tomorrow morning Rebecca will have a proposal of some description on her desk 😉

Rebecca then dropped me off at Tesco and collected two trolley loads of gifts kindly donated by customers for our Christmas campaign and some school uniforms that had been dropped in the Green Bin.

Book in for our next Community Champions Coffee Morning at the end of the month at The Family Hub if you are engaged or looking to engage in community groups.
Thank you.
