The Windsor and Eton Society

The Windsor and Eton Society
Incorporating Windsor Heritage

The Windsor and Eton Society has three charitable objectives:
1. To preserve, protect, promote and improve features of historic or public interest in the towns of Windsor and Eton and their surrounding areas
2. To promote high standards of planning and architecture in the two towns.
3. To advance education and to provide information to members and others supporting the work of the society.

We encourage the people of Windsor and Eton to take an active interest in the history, present affairs and future prospects of their towns. Also to maintain and extend the towns’ amenities and to encourage care for the old and interesting buildings.

We provide informative talks on relevant subjects and arrange visits to sites and buildings of historic and architectural interest.

We work hard to enhance the good names of Windsor and Eton and increase the esteem in which they are held.

Volunteers / Supporters
The Windsor and Eton Society engages in working to improve the visual amenity of the towns. This included the work completed for all the Jubilee Celebrations throughout the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. We also plants bulbs around the towns, tend gardens such as the Heritage Garden in Church Street, Thames Street and the Charles Knight Grave site in Bachelors Acre. Our next project is to replant the Memorial Garden that is also in Bachelors Acre in time for the D Day Anniversary.

We advertise these events on the Windsor and Eton Society website. We encourage volunteers to become members of the society to become fully immersed in what we do and can sign up to the list of contacts for updates on when and where we are working. All are welcome to join us in working to enhance the environment of Windsor and Eton.
