#beingmoredolphin Weight Loss Campaign

A few months ago one of my colleagues at Tesco had an idea for month’s weight loss competition between the team and it was decided 1st May to 1st June would be the perfect pre-summer holiday prep period.

I weighed in at exactly 20 stone on 1st May and knew I needed to get “on it” for 1 month, so I set a target of getting into the 18 stone bracket…

No booze was the big one for me… how would I cope? Amazingly well it would seem 😉

What I have learned from previous attempts is that lettuce is a great fat basher… so lettuce and other green stuff has played a prominent role in proceedings.

I needed to be accountable so decided to post on TikTok every morning, pictures of the previous day’s intake… 33,000 views later the goal has been achieved.

Came up with #beingmoredolphin after thinking #lesswhale 😉 They are beautiful, lean cousins and so that was that, strapline sorted…

A few days ago I was ½ lb off getting out of 19 stone bracket and into the 18’s but then it jumped up 1 lb!

Yesterday morning I’d maintained and was 1.5 lb away from target… what to do, how to chop that fat away?

Spoke to Charlie and he said try fasting… so porridge & nuts at around 7am, I had a lettuce base with mackerel in spicy tomato sauce for lunch at 3pm after a 4 mile cycle ride and 3 mile dog walk… had to go out in the evening and didn’t want to get dizzy so had a pesto pasta pot with salad, 450 cals…

This morning I weighed in with fingers well crossed.

BINGO! Now just need to find out if I’m the “WINNER, WINNER, chicken dinner” but to be honest, not that bothered, well chuffed to have lost a stone and will look to do another over next few months…

Celebratory lunch 😉

Turns out I did win the weight loss shoot out at work… HURRAH… next target 18 7 by end July… let’s go…

Thank you.

Jon
