We should find out if the planning application for the Ferris Wheel is going to the Planning Panel on Thursday this week.
If you’d rather the wheel doesn’t take over Alexandra Gardens for the next 6 months then sign the petition to help demonstrate public feeling.

I know it’s a bit of a hassle filling in the petition but it would be great to see it go over 300 signatures this weekend, currently 276… thank you.

I asked for it to be discussed at The Windsor Forum which doesn’t have any decision making powers but is there to discuss topics of interest to residents. I emailed the clerk, the chair and the lead member for Windsor and was advised of receipt. No reason was given for it’s exclusion.

They chose not to discuss at a public forum which is probably why attendance seems to be very limited at these meetings. Should it be called a Forum.

Looking at the comments on the planning application for the wheel 25/00037, as mentioned, I get the feeling it may come to the planning panel for discussion. If it does, it will appear on this agenda this Thursday and I’ll request to speak against it.

I have used social media but how many of those who care about Alexandra Gardens are on social media?
I probably need to ask people face to face and gather public opinion. So if you see me with a clipboard 😉

Democracy is having your say. To do that you need to understand the process and its undemocratic ways.
The ruling party have the majority of the votes on any planning panel so that they have more ability to influence the final decision.
What any ruling party wants is to keep ruling. While we still have the power to vote, those that make poor decisions can be removed if the people choose fresh faces to represent them.

Please, if you agree with the petition do take the time to sign it…
