Is LinkedIn’s algorithm just trying to butter me up?

Around this time last month I made the decision to only post content to our I Love Windsor CIC page on LinkedIN in an attempt to boost followers for that page.

I used to be prolific with LinkedIn, even offering training workshops in the early days but found that challenging 😉 In recent times I have focused my attention on Facebook as it has a stronger community presence for Windsor. LinkedIn tends to be for hunting down needles in haystacks.

Anyway, disappointed in the distribution of recent posts, I decided to tell LinkedIn to pull its socks up and it has, delivering over 800 views to this latest post, on my profile page.

It got me thinking, was it my authoritative tone, the fact that 5 people have liked the post or David’s, who is a top global salesman, use the phrase “Insightful, thank you Jon” that made LI wake up, smell the coffee and start getting eyeballs on my post?

If you believe yourself to be an influencer on LI then please, pop along, review the post and say something equally as intelligent as David and as I’ve suggested, let’s see if we can’t get 2,000 eyeballs on it by breakfast GMT 😉

LinkedIN hiding it's social media head in shame at the poor number of new followers it generated in July

The fact that LinkedIn has only managed to encourage 2 new followers of our I Love Windsor CIC page in a month says what… that our content is pants… or LinkedIn needs to try harder if it wants me to spend more time here 🤣 you may well hang your head in shame 😂

Thank you.
