Hemwood Dell Ecological Survey Presentation on World Environmental Health Day at Wyevales

Get this date in your diary please: Thursday 26th September, 3pm – 5pm and indicate if you plan on attending so can advise Wyevales how much space we are going to need for the event.

Location is Wyevales, Dedworth Road Windsor on World Environmental Health Day

Led by Jason Mills, RBWM’s Countryside Manager, he will be reporting on the ecological survey we had commissioned as a result of work we were doing up at Hemwood Dell. The Dell is already well protected legally from development; the ecological survey adds another level and also provides RBWM with some great data about the local ecology.

Jason commissioned a Preliminary Ecological Appraisal to determine the ecological value of the following sites:
• Hemwood Dell
• Castle Farm Spinney
• Wolf Lane Spinney

As well as local residents who may be interested in the results, we warmly invite anyone else from the borough who is interested in ecology of the area to come along.

The exact format of the afternoon has not been determined as yet, I am sure we will have a number of shorter presentations by local organisations who would like to share a few things with those interested in ecology.

Get the date in your diary and simply email me if you’d like to attend or have the opportunity to say a few words.

Email cllr.davey@rbwm.gov.uk with Eco Wyevales in the title.

More details on this page as we have them.

Thank you.

Jon
