Opportunities for Windsor Candidates in Local Elections UK 4th May 2023
It would seem interest in the local elections is not as high as Greggs coming to town (600 views) but “Election Candidates for Windsor 4th May 2023” sits in No.2 spot with over 200 page views in April 2023.
We’ve invited local candidates to share a link to their preferred page and as yet only half the parties have joined in, which means they haven’t organised pages yet or are simply choosing to ignore the offer of free exposure!
As well as the I Love Windsor blog which we have been hosting in its current form since 2014, we have the Love Windsor Community News Facebook Group with over 6,600 members and the newly launched Windsor Elections 2023 where we are inviting local candidates to respond to questions from local residents. Seems to be the same candidates missing the opportunity.
We also organised an election board in Tesco Dedworth where all parties get the same space to promote themselves both on the board and with an A4 flyer. There have been some attempts to grab more than their fair share of space by a few but we keep it monitored to ensure residents are able to get a better understanding of those looking to represent them in the local elections. Because of limited space we focus on the wards local to the store namely Bray, Clewer & Dedworth East, Clewer & Dedworth West and Clewer East.
I’d encourage all candidates to make the most of these opportunities.
