During October we are going to host a “Community Champion Hour” each day, Monday to Saturday, where you can talk to Jon Davey, Tesco Dedworth’s Community Champion in store.
The Community Champion’s role is to engage with local community groups and work out positive ways that Tesco’s can be of service. We work with schools, local charities, scouts & brownies, religious groups, those that help the elderly and young people… and we are always open to help more community groups.
- We host regular coffee mornings for the group leaders so we can share ideas and support each other.
- All year round we give food to Windsor’s Community Fridge and collect food, donated by our customers for Windsor FoodShare.
- Currently, during the Rugby World Cup we are helping Windsor’s Rugby & The Boys School raise funds for their minis tours.
- At the end of October until Armistice Day we’ll be helping The Royal British Legion with the Poppy Appeal.
- Baby Bank will be sharing out the gifts to young people in need generously donated by our customers in the lead up to Christmas.
- We facilitate the collection of school uniforms and football boots needing a new home.
- Share Seasonal gifts with one and all at Christmas & Easter 😉
- And more…
Do pop in and share your thoughts on how we can do more for the community.
Tell us what makes a member of staff outstanding to you.
Share how you feel about the mix of self service and checkouts.
And anything else that you feel is important.
