Red Wine Can Help Prevent Saggy Skin!
Last week my pal Andy offered the perfect weight loss solution 😉 Neither of us are qualified weight loss advisors but you might like this…
I’d been sharing about the intermittent fasting I was doing and he said, be careful, if you lose weight too quickly you can end up with saggy skin!
When I got home I had a Google, the general vibe seemed to be, more than a couple of pounds a week can be problematic.
A bit of history, ten years ago I lost 4.5 stone in a year using Slimming World and since, much of it had crept back on.
My lad had mentioned intermittent fasting and initially I was concerned I’d be hungry, get tetchy, and it wouldn’t work.
What I’d learned from the first experience of weight loss was that porridge in the morning and lettuce and meat for lunch works for me.
With fasting, you only have two meals and then don’t eat for 12+ hours.
This has resulted, in the days I’m fasting, in 1 or 2 pounds dropping off.
Usually we have curry and a bottle of wine on a Thursday evening as Ali has Friday off and it has become a weekly thing.
In under 3 months I’ve dropped 2 stone and had been feeling a little guilty about Thursday but mentally need a break. I can’t do the fasting 24/7, I’d go dolally…
So hearing from Andy, the reality that losing too much weight, too quickly, might result in saggy skin, gifted me the perfect validation for Thursdays 😉
Mon, Tue, Wed porridge & nuts for breakfast, lettuce in olive oil with a tin of spicy mackerel before 2pm and then just water and black coffee till breakfast.
Thursday more options, including a bottle of red in the evening with a nice ruby.
Fri, Sat, Sun focus on 2 meals but more relaxed, allowing a few potatoes and a little bread.
Mon back on it, no sins 😉 And so far, no saggy skin, so it must be working xx
Give it a try…
Thank you.
Jon
