It’s not how many times you get knocked down that count, it’s how many times you get back up. George A. Custer, U.S. Military I’ve loved being part of the Windsor Council elections 2015. I knew from the outset that I had no chance of landing a seat but wanted to give it a go……

The last month has been fun mixing old and new methods of campaign engagement… mixing the doorstep challenge with social media engagement… One thing I read just as my campaign began was about how the Green Party had achieved 50% of the under 24 vote in the last General Election, while the Tories got 50%…

Currently we have 46 Tories, 6 Independents, 3 LibDems and 2 UKIP Councillors… You could argue that the 2 UKIP and one of the Independents are Tories because that’s what they were elected in as but then changed horses… so 49 Tories and 8 others… which means, 3 or 4 leading Tories decided what they…

Talking to people on the doorsteps while canvassing Park Ward one of the primary concerns is, “Where are my children going to live?” With property prices inflated by pension funds buying up properties to rent, increasing in value year on year in the South of England while providing a regular income from people who have to…

Russell meets Green MP Caroline Lucas and party leader Natalie Bennett to discuss policies, frustrations with the parliamentary system, and the danger of the Tories. Enjoy… Jon

Sunday 26th April 2015 Wisdom was approached by a local resident while out walking his dogs on Sutherland Grange, “How come you’ve got the Tories delivering your leaflets Wisdom?” he asked jovially! “What do you mean Terry?” “Take a look at this…” he said while handing Wisdom the leaflet below… Councillor Geoffrey Hill pushed out…

I’d been hearing negative vibes about Windsor Leisure Centre which was taken over by Parkwood Leisure Limited back end of last year. Figured I should dig a little deeper, see what ammo it would give me for the campaign trail… So last night I posted on a couple of Facebook Groups and Streetlife, asking “I’m…

Oh what a night! To a packed house at All Saints Church Windsor, hosted by Reverend “DD” Louise took charge of the runners in this year’s Parliamentary Elections 2015. Being a horsey lady she had no problem with a packed stable… hundreds turned out to hear what the candidates had to say! The BBC really…

It’s been said, or so I’m told, I prefer not to listen to idle gossip but seriously, as I walk the streets of Windsor with my campaign leaflet, many have said thank you for standing, we need a real choice of candidates! Times they are a changing on Sheet Street… I bumped into Mr Mark…

I have removed this post as my wife asked me to… She didn’t feel it was me at my best and feels the anger and frustration I feel at the way the local council conduct themselves should be focused on more positive efforts within the community rather than pointing my finger. It’s Valentines, she right,…

I’ll soon find out… I have a good idea but it’ll be interesting to hear it from the mouths of local people. I Love Windsor and am tired of hearing about the wool being pulled over everyone’s eyes with a small group of incumbents doing what they like in the council chambers. And they can,…

What do you think of the flyer? Will do the job until we get our A3 flyer printed… it’s looking good! I see myself as a rep, have done for years but the thought of knocking on local doors is making me feel a little nervous! I know once I get rattling it will all…
